Geneva

For our pre-graduation trip, we made a trip to Venice, Geneva, Athens and Santorini. The Geneva trip followed shortly after our trip to Venice. We flew with Swiss Air from London City Airport to Athens. Twas my 7th time flying with Swiss Airlines. We transited in Geneva. Flying via budget airlines was more expensive than a full fare airline. That's why I don't really like flying with budget airlines and often flew with full fare ones. It was a 7.5 hours transit, so we explored the city. 5 hours in the bustling city is sufficient, should you plan for a day trip in Geneva. The weather was very hot. It was 23 degrees, hot and humid. Reminded me of Malaysia.

We settled down at Ristorante le Lacustre for lunch.

After lunch we walked walked around the quay:

 Hi there!

Being very ethnic, this is my first time seeing this type of tree that reminds me of the army uniforms.

And finally, along the river:

Athens - Day 1

It was my second time in Athens. The first time I've been there was in summer 2009. Little did I know, I was in Athens again, 2 years later. Day 1 in Athens began when we went for brunch at Monastraki area.

A lane full of restaurants. We had our brunch at Thanasis Kebab. The food was great!

The local beer... Mythos. Which was good, especially one is under the hot summer weather in Athens :)

 Greek salad

 Tzatziki

 Chips

 Pita bread

Moussaka and Beef thingy

More pita bread and grilled tomatoes

After brunch, we went to the nearby place of attraction - the Library of Hadrian. Well, it wasn't much of a library... it was the ruins from the library itself.

We spent a short time walking around Monastraki area and proceeded to the Acropolis.

Looks like we're going to have a long way up...

Halfway up the hill, Sara's umbrella decided to flip to the other side

 Beautiful, isn't it?

Odeon of Herodes Atticus

The 3 girls

Then we decided to be comical

The Parthenon

The Erechtheum, an ancient Greek temple.

Then we decided to do a jump shot, and here are the chronologies:

 HAHAHA :)

And another one:
 Yay!

AND THE GRAND FINALE:

HAHAHAHA :)

Before we went down the hill, here's another beautiful photo of the city

After that, we went back for a rest before dinner. We stumbled upon this unique leather sandals shop next to our accommodation. It's a famous shop by Starvos Melissinos, the Poet Sandal Maker of Athens. You can find it online here. Sara and I waited for an hour for our sandals. We bought 2 pairs each. Also, we bought a pair for Yit Ling.
